People are like chewing gums. Laugh all you want at the comparison. But, it’s true. Starting with so much flavour, as time goes by, teeth of life grind slowly, press, and stretch. And gradually, as all colours are washed away by saliva floods, and the gum is losing its texture and softness, it becomes pale and unrecognizable compared to what it previously was. It is stern and unyielding, uninteresting and tasteless. Good for nothing else, but spitting it out.
